Why we do what we do

At Dot Health, we believe in using technology to propel healthcare. Legacy systems that the healthcare industry has relied on for so long not only affect patients, but make it virtually impossible for care providers to operate in an efficient manner. Inefficient modes of everyday communication like fax and mail are the norm, and limited digital options for a physician's day-to-day operation is the norm. The healthcare industry has been flying blind for far too long. This is hampering our collective ability to deliver and access high quality care. Dot Health recognizes these issues, and is dedicated to addressing them and creating a better clinical environment, so that exceptional care can be delivered and received.

Our core products relieve the stress and inefficiency of dated communication. Today, you can easily track just about any piece of personal information—from financial to commercial, right down to your last coffee order. Emails, messages, bank balances are a few taps away on our phones, while vital health information like blood tests, clinical notes, and imaging are often presented in unfriendly formats that are hard to understand, and can only be retrieved through time-consuming, expensive, and archaic processes. Dot Health has arrived on the scene to put the legacy of inefficiency, fragmentation and frustration behind us and put forth a bold new vision of how healthcare should be delivered for people in Canada. We help individuals and their healthcare providers gather vital personal health information all in one place. Faster. Cheaper. Securely.

We are always looking for new ways to improve digital health, knowing that the health technology space is riddled with unexpected, complex challenges and a profound level of inefficiency. We've assembled a team of people who are resilient, forward-thinking, and unafraid to challenge this status quo. Reimagining healthcare is nonetheless challenging, but we are a group with high energy and technological strength. We’re looking to work with someone who not only believes in the work that we do, but also exhibits the tenacity, precision, and focus to build the best digital health platform the world has seen. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, keep reading!

What are we looking for?

Dot Health is launching a special project to change how healthcare is delivered. Revamping the clinical experience is important to us because we believe healthcare needs to be addressed as a whole, and not in parts.  We are looking for a progressive general practitioner who will partner with us in their existing practice, or be comfortable in a new practice, and work closely with our Research and Development team to shape the future of health tech.

The ideal candidate is a physician who is passionate about patient empowerment and transparency within healthcare, and is excited for the future of health technology and wants to make a difference. The successful candidate will be the first to work in a fully Dot Health powered clinic, where Dot Health will provide all back-end support for EMR, billing, prescription transfers, referrals and other administrative tasks, so that you can focus on the most important thing - patient care. Patient volume will vary depending on clinic size, however, Dot Health will assist in recruiting patients so that you can build a strong patient network that can stay with you in your professional career.

The ideal candidate will primarily be providing patient care, but will also have tremendous say in the way Dot Health shapes its products. By consistently communicating with Dot Health’s Research & Development team of any technical bugs, constraints, and user feedback, you will play a key role in defining product strategy and the features we implement. We aim to work with you seamlessly to fix any bugs quickly, develop new features that will optimize operations, and continuously refine our products so that we can provide you and your patients the best care experience possible. If this sounds like you, apply below!
